“ Ceremonies in Casabindo ”

Summoned by the festivities of the Assumption of the Virgin in Casabindo, in the Cochinoca department of the province of Jujuy, Carolina Franco and Marcelo Gurruchaga sensitively captured each instance of this event: the vigil of the faithful, who arrive from the most hidden places, the preparations for the Virgin, the procession through the town with her on a litter, the dance of the samilantes, the dance of the quarters, the sikuris bands and the Toreo de la Vincha.
